Job Title: Repairs Supervisor

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced and driven Repairs Supervisor looking for an exciting opportunity to manage a dedicated team and contribute to a reputable social housing provider? We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Supervisor to join our client's team in Epsom on a fixed term contract until January 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage works on site from initial stages to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, budget, and deadlines.
  • Issue instructions, authorise additional work, and apply for time extensions when necessary.
  • Recruit and train professional staff to maintain service standards.
  • Publish performance targets and monitoring systems to ensure high-quality work and service delivery.
  • Provide technical advice and resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance and servicing of the company vehicle fleet.
  • Monitor the purchase of materials and ensure accurate stock control.
  • Collaborate with external contractors to ensure quality of service and adherence to timelines.
  • Comply with health and safety legislation and maintain records accordingly.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote and uphold company policies and codes of conduct.
  • Conduct post-inspections to ensure high standards of work and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a Repairs Supervisor or in a similar managerial role.
  • Experience managing professional staff and achieving performance targets.
  • Knowledge of industry schedule of rates and capital programme delivery.
  • Familiarity with reactive repairs service and subcontractor management.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong organisational skills to plan, prioritise, and manage outcomes.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and their application.
  • Full UK driving licence.
