BRC are working with a Reputable Housing Association who are based across the South West and South East to recruit a Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor overseeing repairs services across their stock in Somerset

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for surveying properties in relation to responsive repairs and void properties
  2. Carry out property inspections and investigate repair requests raised by customers, providing technical advice on defects including damp and mould issues
  3. Conduct property building surveys, providing advice on construction defects, disrepair and dilapidations
  4. Produce detailed reports on works required including works for remedial solutions
  5. Liaise with contractors to organise repair works to be carried out including planned maintenance delivery, minor works and refurbishments
  6. Occasionally, oversee the minor works and refurbishment projects to homes
  7. Ensure that contractors are delivering works to homes to a high standard, on time and within budget
  8. Carry out pre and post inspections of works and ensuring they are managed through to completion
  9. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing a high standard of customer service, providing advice and assisting with queries or complaints

Job Requirements

  • Driver with access to own vehicle
  • Experience of surveying and/or professional qualification - HND/HNC
  • Experience of working in social housing
