As a Rent Income Support Officer, you'll play a crucial role in upholding this philosophy by identifying areas where rent arrears may cause hardship and offering tailored support solutions.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist residents with rent arrears collection and provide comprehensive rent account information.
  • Guide residents towards suitable avenues of support, whether financial or otherwise, to maximise their income and maintain their tenancies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all resident enquiries regarding rent income, across various communication channels including telephone, web, email, face-to-face, SMS, and written correspondence.
  • Communicate empathetically and supportively with residents, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
  • Update the Department of Work and Pensions promptly regarding changes in rent charges in accordance with established timelines.
  • Contribute to the team's performance KPIs and obligations, aiming for successful first-time contacts while providing personalized assistance based on individual circumstances.

What We're Looking For:

  • Compassionate individuals with a genuine desire to support residents in need.
  • Excellent communication skills across various mediums.
  • Ability to empathize and provide tailored support to diverse residents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in rent income support or a related field is desirable but not essential.
