Remote Trade Mark Solicitor
We are currently working with a prestigious law firm renowned for its excellence in intellectual property law. This firm is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Mark Solicitor to join its dynamic team.
As a Trade Mark Solicitor in our client's firm, you will play a pivotal role in protecting and managing intellectual property rights for a diverse range of esteemed clients. This position demands a candidate who is not only well-versed in trade mark prosecution but also has a proven track record in handling contentious and litigious matters related to trade marks.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and filing trade mark applications
- Assisting with and/or managing client matters and portfolios – This includes managing trade mark applications, managing monitoring programmes, advising on renewals, running clearance programmes, and working on oppositions and other contentious matters, as well as domain name disputes and online takedowns
- Representing clients in trade mark oppositions, cancellations, and enforcement proceedings
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop effective trade mark strategies aligned with business objectives
- Providing strategic advice on brand protection and trademark-related disputes
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a strong academic background (6 years+)
- Significant experience in trade mark law, including prosecution, contentious matters, and litigation
- Demonstrated ability in clearance work, online brand protection, and domain name disputes
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise advice to clients
