The Opportunity:

Princes Bradford is our largest drinks manufacturing site in the UK producing 26 million cases of Dilute and Carbonated drinks per year for own label retail sale and for well-known brands. We are now excited to confirm that we have established a partnership with Capri-Sun which will bring the production of the iconic and much loved brand, Capri-Sun, home to our Bradford site.

Initial production on 2 lines commences in October 2024 and on full completion in March 2025 there will be 4 production lines, each capable of 8,000 pouches per hour operating 24/7 on a 12 hour shift from our bespoke manufacturing unit.

Due to this exciting expansion, we are now looking for a Reliability Engineer with experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance(PPM), Condition Based Monitoring(CBM), can conduct detailed Root Cause Analysis(RCA) who are passionate, enthusiastic and committed to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment, to join us on this exciting journey.

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the site Asset Care Manger, the post holder will be required to monitor, diagnose and manage the repair/ maintenance of the sites equipment.

Dimensions:

  • The role involves working Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
  • Manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance program
  • Managing the engineering root cause analysis process. (RCA)
  • Monitoring equipment condition via Oil Analysis, Thermography and Vibration Analysis and inputting the data into the Machine Sentry online application.
  • Supporting site and group projects on initiatives.


Site equipment includes such as:

  • 4 Capri Sun Pouch filling production lines
  • 2 Robotic palletisers
  • Check Weighers
  • Tetrapac Mix systems


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Undertake the role in accordance with health, safety, environmental, food hygiene and quality requirements.
  • Carry out identified modifications and improvements.
  • Implement, create and support planned preventative maintenance schemes.
  • Actively support continuous improvement projects and activities by challenging existing practices and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitor the efficiency of equipment and identify problem areas to proactively implement improvements.
  • Maintain all work areas to the required 5S standards.
  • Manage the engineering root cause analysis system including training and coaching the Capri-Sun Team
  • Carry out all aspects of Condition Based Monitoring.
  • Inspection of failure components to find failure mode and put actions in place to eliminate future occurrences.
  • Carry out new or additional tasks, projects, trials, and other reasonable duties in conjunction with colleagues in your area of work.
  • Working with Site engineering planners to create and feedback on PPM’s
  • Work with shift engineers completing PPM’s and investigating breakdowns.

Successful candidate must have:

  • Relevant Engineering experience in FMCG
  • Ability to work alone and part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues of all levels
  • Experience in using CMMS e.g. SAP
  • Experience in the detail of PPM
  • Experience in Condition Based Monitoring (CBM)
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis tools (RCA) / problem solving methodology.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI)
