My client is a global engineering organisation that provides leading products and solutions to clients within the O&G, Marine, Industrial and Renewable industries.

There is the rare opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join their well established site and team in Fife.

Role Overview:

  • The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the development & provision of effective & reliable manufacturing processes, ensuring operational risk is established & reduced in support of operations
  • Support the maintenance team by developing & driving predictive maintenance within the preventative maintenance schedule through innovation and technology advancement

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop & implement effective & reliable processes to meet all critical to quality (CTQ) and critical to process (CTP) requirements within operations
  • Identify equipment reliability opportunities by analysing and trending performance data
  • Support Continuous Improvement throughout the business through the application of Total Quality Management and Lean methodologies
  • Identify & reduce operational risk in support of operations
  • Design, develop, implement new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment
  • Develop & implement training programs to enhance knowledge and skills within the business
  • Source and implement new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Design, develop & implement new manufacturing processes, equipment & upgrades to improve process performance, capability, capacity, throughput, cost modelling, waste reduction, QHSE, technology & innovation

Education & Experience:

  • HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering or technical field
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a Reliability Engineering role or related discipline with demonstrable evidence of systems and process improvement
  • In-depth understanding, skills & experience in the predictive maintenance methods such as, vibration, thermal, oil sampling
