Reinsurance Asset Manager

Reinsurance Asset Manager - London / Hybrid - Negotiable

Market leading Insurer and Reinsurer is looking for a Reinsurance Asset Manager to join their Reinsurance Asset Management Team.

The Outwards Reinsurance Asset Management (RAM) Team is responsible for all operational aspects of outwards reinsurance including treaty set up, recoveries, cash allocation, credit control, reporting, broker communications and reconciliations.

About the Role:

Management of the Quota Share Reinsurance activities for the company in respect of Outwards Reinsurance. The role will require building and maintaining close links with Outwards Reinsurance Purchasing, Claims, Finance and other operations functions to ensure a seamless and co-ordinated approach throughout.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the Quota Share Reinsurance Team within the wider RAM Team.
• Manage key and complex accounts within Quota Share Reinsurance for statement of account calculations, review and reconciliation in conjunction with brokers and other counterparties.
• Manage the team to ensure timely and accurate production of quota share statements of account for internal and external counterparties.
• Work with the Head of RAM to complete and pass all internal controls within SLAs.
• Review and sign off all Profit Commission and Sliding Scale Commission calculations.
• Develop the internal reporting outputs to provide a clear picture of the current position for the full program of quota share programs.
• Proactively "make things better" for key Outwards RI processes in this role, keeping things simple where possible for RAM and key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience required:

• Reinsurance knowledge & experience gained in the London company and Lloyd's markets.
• Some managerial or supervisory experience.
• Ability and confidence to challenge existing procedures & use of systems.
• Experience in systems including ELGAR, IRIS, GENIUS, Alteryx and PowerBI would be highly beneficial.
