We are actively recruiting for an experienced Regulatory Manager to work for a global company, who have their UK Head Office based in Milton Keynes. Please note, this role is FULLY OFFICE BASED, with NO remote or hybrid working.

For this position, our client would be seeking a candidate who has core background within the food colours or flavourings industry.

The Regulatory Manager assures the compliance of products with appropriate regulations, provides various data, information and conformity declaration and serves as a regulatory resource to internal and external customers. Maintains technical databases related formulas and finished products. Understand, respect, and act ethically when dealing with matters related to regulatory compliance. In this responsible position you will work closely with national and international colleagues.

The role will entail:

  • Manage Regulatory team.
  • Supports internal customers (including Sales, Procurement, Research & Development, Quality Assurance):
    • by interpreting regulations.
    • providing information to address external customer needs.
    • providing guidance to internal customers by accurately maintaining finished product information.
    • by serving as subject matter expert in assigned areas.
  • Implementation of new national and international regulations.
  • Create new regulatory standard operating procedures and have in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes used to manufacture products.
  • Inform, train and advice internal customers on regulatory topics, which includes conduct regulatory presentations on internal and external meetings.
  • Utilize authorized systems for maximum efficiency and consistency. Responsible for accurate finished good data entry in these systems.
  • Participation in national and international project teams.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in chemistry, food technology or a similar studies.
  • Extensive regulatory experience in a global environment in the food ingredients (food colours an advantage) or speciality chemicals industry, along with knowledge of global regulations and team management experience.
  • Understanding of product lines and manufacturing processes to make regulatory decisions and ability to gain and apply extensive knowledge of regional and international food regulations and their application. Must be able to develop the ability to review, interpret and summarize technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute complex projects, prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.
  • Demonstrates the flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing environment and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Willing / ability to travel on a non-routine basis.
