You will be responsible for assisting individuals with marriage registrations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

This exciting opportunity will be based in the Registration Service. This service is conducted by a Ceremonies Team which delivers civil ceremonies and citizenship ceremonies.

Salary: £14.59 to £15.34 per hour (includes annual leave entitlement)

Contract Type: Casual

Working Pattern: Seasonal (peak between May to September)

Location: Crawley Register Office (Crawley Library, Southgate Avenue, Crawley, RH10 6HG) or Worthing Register Office (Worthing Library, Richmond Road, Worthing, BN11 1HD)

Interview date: 15 May 2024

You will need to be able to travel independently around the county, including to areas that may not be easily accessible by public transport. Pool available.

Successful candidates will need to attend training days which will take place on 03 June and 04 June at Crawley Register Office.

The Opportunity

The ideal applicant will have experience of working within an administration environment, with good communication and IT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Delivering good customer service will be key to success in this role, as you will need be confident face to face, liaising with couples and their guests at ceremony venues around the County.

If you have excellent literacy skills, attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

You will be trained to deliver dual roles of both the legal registration of a marriage and conducting legal Civil Marriage ceremonies.

You will deal with all customer enquiries, providing specialist advice, support, and excellent customer service to members of the public wishing to use the service.
