An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to join a growing organisation specialising in supporting Children and Young People. The role will involve setting up and overseeing 3 solo Emergency Placement Services based in Bloxwich.

The aim of the home is to provide a safe haven for children and young people for a maximum of 28 days while alternative placements/support is arranged.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the directors and Responsible Individual to achieve registration with OFSTED.
  • Manage the home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • To assist in the management and operation of budget and petty cash within guidelines. To assist in the homes budgeting estimates.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to assist in the development of staff. To have responsibility in the deployment and management of staff on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage and safeguard the children and young people and promote their wellbeing, ensuring highest possible standards of physical, emotional, spiritual and cultural care are maintained.

Requirements:

  • 2 years management experience within a Children's Residential Service & QCF level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Sound knowledge of governing legislation, procedures and best practice in caring for looked after children
  • Driving Licence
