A great opportunity has become available for a reliable and skilled Regional Plumber Multi to join a dynamic regional company recognised for developing and training its staff to succeed in their roles. This role will be a mobile role covering Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth & IoW. You will join the company on a full-time, permanentbasis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £37,000 per annum and excellent benefits.

About the Regional Plumber Multi role:

You will carry out a mobile role and complete a wide variety of domestic and commercial plumbing repairs for local authorities (reactive and void works), education providers in occupied student accommodation, commercial buildings, lecture theatres, and offices and along with works in ancient monuments. The work will include fitting of various types of sanitary ware first and second fixing Pipework, various servicing of PPM and reactive first-time fix repairs. There will also be work on unvented systems. As well as being able to carry out minor carpentry, tiling and minor decorative works.

Key responsibilities as the Regional Plumber Multi will include:

  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults within core and other trades related repair requests
  • Ensuring that the quality of work always meets the highest possible standards
  • Supporting all trades to deliver a professional and safe maintenance and repairs service
  • Responding swiftly to all emergency situations and resolve them efficiently
  • Undertaking all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time wherever possible. Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed
  • Being willing to work out of hours to the requirements of the client and participate on the call out rota
  • Working within the company group and assist other contracts as directed by the Contract Manager as and when the business dictates

What our client are looking for in their Regional Plumber Multi:

  • A trade specific qualification minimum NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plumbing
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in Building Maintenance and Educational environment
  • Must be competent in two other secondary skills
  • Full current driving licence
  • Be able to demonstrate you are a competent tradesperson and have the tools to do the work
  • Have the prerequisite technical, statutory, and legislative knowledge for the trades you perform for the company ensuring you keep abreast of updates and changes
  • Have knowledge of the materials and methods used in the building and maintenance industry
  • Be comfortable in dealing with residents, tenants and representatives and remain professional even when issues are contentious, especially when explaining works to tenants
  • Understand the need to complete outstanding pieces of work and deal with work, completely and in one go
  • Have an organised approach to meet the demands of te company and clients in an effective and timely manner
  • Have a practical approach to health and safety, ensuring that you and others are safe at all times
  • A problem solver and be able to work out what is a proportionate and necessary repair, learning from your previous experiences
  • Be able to self-manage and be self-motivated, prioritizing and programming work in the most efficient manner
