ROLE PROFILE:

Join our Rights Management Redistribution team for an opportunity to support next generation redistribution proposition and content launches and redistribution partner deals, providing input and guidance on third-party data provider licensing obligations, rights and restrictions.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Our team provides crucial input across LSEG on the compliant use of third-party data for redistribution purposes, working on different use cases and launches to understand data flows, product and technical set-ups, content scope and client use of data, which we map to licensing rights and obligations. We are a growing team, working on the latest exciting redistribution initiatives within LSEG, including the evaluation of new redistribution offerings and partnerships from a third-party rights perspective.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of reviews and consultancy on new redistribution product offerings and partnership deals, advising on how best to align with contractual agreements with third-party data providers, giving both detailed and summary risk-based analysis on third party licensing requirements and restrictions.

Collaborating with individuals across our company to understand how products work, data flow and licensing considerations is core to our work. You will be advising key internal partners on the relevant licensing requirements of data providers. You'll work alongside teams in Data Licensing, Legal, Product, Content, Sales, and many more!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Providing and communicating guidance and advice on third-party data provider redistribution licensing obligations to maximise value on data licences for the company whilst mitigating risks;
  • Developing and maintaining documentation and tools to capture third-party data provider licencing requirements;
  • Leading and delivering detailed analysis in support of data licensing requirements, using a risk-based approach to make sense of ambiguous data to make well-reasoned, timely, accurate and balanced business decisions;
  • Maintaining and creating relationships with delivery teams to promote third-party data licensing concepts and the flow of knowledge on rights policies across the company;
  • Developing expertise in financial data and licensing knowledge through continuous learning and development. Building your knowledge on developments and trends in data licensing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to find the right balance between commercial value and data compliance risk;
  • Ability to quickly absorb a large amount of data, detail and complexity, with an ability to get up to speed quickly and learn, looking for opportunities to self-learn as well as through formal training;
  • Ability to work at a detailed level, but also to summarise complex situations for senior management;
  • Ability to work across teams and know when to lead and when to follow;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Good communication skills.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in third-party data licencing, rights management, content, proposition, product or project management
  • Knowledge of financial markets
  • Knowledge of product set-up, administration and entitlements
  • Knowledge of Product Studio II
