Sitting within the wider Teaching Personnel team, we are based in the centre of Hull, right next to the marina. The Role

As a Trainee/Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you bring schools and teachers together, towards a better education experience for pupils. You are not required to have experience in this career or any work experience at all, so long as you bring your energy and willingness to learn to the table.
You will join a thriving team covering a specialist sector (secondary/primary/SEN) and will support an experienced team of recruiters and have the opportunity for career development and progression - and we will be right there, supporting and cheering you on.

We are open to people with different experience, whether you've worked in Recruitment in a different sector, recently graduated, come from a customer service, Teaching or other Education background we don't mind.

What is key is that you can demonstrate a passion for Education, and the desire to learn with energy and enthusiasm. You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Curious and committed as you will work in a fast-paced environment, learning on the job.
  • Able to build strong relationships in order to deliver the best quality support to Educators and your client schools.
  • A skilled Communicator with the ability to ask great questions, on the phone, in person, while conducting interviews for registration and vetting as well as client visits and meeting.
  • Creative, in order to write, publish and create engaging job adverts and marketing.
  • Organised and have excellent attention to detail as you will be responsible for managing a pool of educators, ensuring excellence for your schools and matching them, as well as creating job opportunities for them through business development.
