You will be working for a local organisation who support vulnerable individuals who have a history of alcohol and drug addiction.
Your new role

  • To deliver activities and interventions which may be alongside peers and volunteer in partnership premises, community outreach locations and client accommodation.
  • To co -produce, monitor and review Service Users' goals plans and motivate them to complete realistic actions to achieve long term recovery goals.
  • To undertake accurate and comprehensive assessments of need, identifying levels of risk and implementing ways of managing risks with clients
  • To fully inform Service Users of their recovery options and involve them in decision and consent to motivate them to take opportunities to achieve sustained recovery.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Sound working knowledge of the models of recovery within substance misuse services in practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of harm reduction, and how this relates to substance misuse
  • Understanding of the cause and effects of substance use on clients, families and the community.
  • Completing assessment of needs, support planning, implementing & evaluating holistic person centred risk / aftercare plans to a high standard.



What you'll get in return
This role is an ongoing temporary opportunity. You will be based in Stoke-on-Trent but must be able to work across the City. The annual salary for this post is £22,400.
