Receptionist 

£12.19 per hour PAYE 

Part time role 2.5 days a week (Flexible on how this is completed) 

Location - BN1 fully on - site 

Temporary position estimated for 3 months 

Reed is excited to be working with a Brighton based University currently recruiting for this vacancy. We are looking for a dedicated Receptionist to manage an on-campus reception desk. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for the University, handling email correspondence, answering phone enquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of facilities. This role requires someone who is organised, has excellent communication skills, and can multitask effectively.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Cover the physical on-campus reception desk, providing a warm welcome to visitors and staff.
  • Monitor the school’s email inboxes, triage and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer the main phone enquiry line, addressing queries and directing calls to the correct team as necessary.
  • Perform filing and data entry tasks to keep records up-to-date and organised.
  • Monitor and track estates and facilities requests, ensuring they are addressed efficiently.
  • Assist with the setting up of event spaces as required, contributing to the successful execution of school events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in email management and office software for data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks and events.
