Position: Receptionist or Teaching Assistant Location: SEMH School, Dorking, Surrey Type: Full-time

Role Overview: As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors to our school. Your warm demeanor and excellent communication skills will be essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth operations within the school environment.

Alternatively, as a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced educators to support the learning and development of our students. From assisting in the classroom to providing one-on-one support, your role will be instrumental in helping our students achieve academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities: Receptionist:

  • Greet visitors and answer incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy
  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and handling correspondence
  • Assist with student attendance and welfare, liaising with relevant staff members as needed

Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide individualized assistance to students, including those with special educational needs
  • Support classroom activities and facilitate learning under the guidance of the teaching staff
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with young boys and a commitment to their holistic development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education or administration (preferred but not essential)
