College Receptionist 8am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday We are seeking a dedicated Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our educational institution. The ideal candidate will be the face of the college, handling front desk responsibilities, including answering phone calls, dealing with inquiries from students and parents, and organising meetings. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a busy reception area with professionalism and courtesy.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Greet and welcome students, parents, and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of the college.
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed.
  • Handle inquiries from students and parents, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Organise and schedule appointments and meetings for staff and faculty.
  • Maintain security by following procedures, monitoring logbooks, and issuing visitor badges.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
  • Keep the reception area tidy and presentable, with all necessary materials (e.g., pens, forms, brochures).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers).
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Customer service attitude.
