My clients a well established financial services company, are seeking to appoint a ACA or ACCA Qualified Assistant Manager with excellent Real Estate experience to join them and to assist the management of day-to-day accounting services in the specific service line to ensure that the team consistently meet deadlines and provide a first class and highly professional service at all times. Helping to develop an expanding internal Centre of Excellence (CoE). You will oversee resource planning for team members and to participate in accounting related projects. Manage, supervise and develop team members, maintain and develop relationships with the team’s clients.

In addition you will deputise for the Senior Manager during absence, and to support them when required in order to fulfil the team’s roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications * Recognised accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA)

Experience * A minimum of 4 years’ practical accounting work experience * Direct experience of producing financial statements for a variety of corporate entities within various jurisdictions * Experience of managing, developing and coaching others in a team environment * Experience of exceptional external and internal client service + Experience in a financial services environment, ideally in fund administration and/or real estate

Knowledge * Exceptional understanding and knowledge of current industry and accounting legislation, regulation and working practices * Exceptional knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office + Excellent knowledge of UK VAT + Excellent knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) + In depth knowledge of Yardi hugely desirable + Working knowledge of NavOne or Sage

Key Responsibilities

Your role may include, but will not be limited to, the following tasks which we call 'Defined Business Activities’. The list of defined business activities is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time:

Timesheets

Operational

· Supports the Senior Manager and Head of Jurisdiction in order to deliver a first-class professional service to clients, both internal and external

· Deputises for the Senior Manager in their absence when relevant

· Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports

· Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly, quarterly and annual VAT returns

· Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly CIS returns

· Monitor the quality and service levels of team ensuring compliance with ISAE 3402 requirements

· Ensure financial statements prepared are in line with UK GAAP/IFRS or other appropriate standards

· Managing stakeholder’s expectations

· Monitoring all jobs of the client to ensure timely and efficient completion

People Management

· Planning and organising own client portfolio and team time planning

· Oversight of appraisals for all team members and conduct appraisals for members of the team

· Review current workload and resources

· Supervise team in relation to client activities and company procedures

· Supervise team in relation to time management and prioritisation skills

Time Management

· Plan and prioritise own and team workflow

· Deal with matters in a timely manner

Compliance and Risk Management

· Understands and complies with relevant organisational policies and procedures, supporting the Senior Manager to manage risks around the accounting function

· Understanding what is appropriate and acceptable in relation to AML
