Job title: R&D Assistant (Full-time)

Job type: Temporary - Ongoing

Location: Coleford, GL16

Pay rate: £10.42 per hour (will rise to 11.44 per hour from April)

Working days: Monday to Friday

Shifts: 08:30 - 17:00

Start date: Immediate

*Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

To provide support for R&D department including:

• Handling drink samples on store for stability testing including labeling, moving to appropriate storage location and disposal at end of test life as required.
• Weekly collection of samples for analytical testing and sensory assessment.
• Pack and label drink samples for external analysis and arranging transport to external contractors.
• Tidying and organizing of the R&D storage areas and disposal of packaging waste .
• Collecting samples from blends or factory lines to support NPD activities.
• Sourcing waste containers for HPLC Waste, cleaning containers, labeling containers and transport of waste on site for disposal.
• Collection of deliveries from goods in or reception, including some large boxes.
• Stock control of boxes, packaging materials and other consumables.
• Assisting with pilot plant trials, loading empty bottles and labeling.

Skills required:

• Proficient in basic MS Office packages such as Excel, Word & Outlook
• Good communication skills
• Proactivity and enthusiasm essential
• Manual handling is a part of this role
• Be happy to work alone and as a part of the team
• Methodical worker with an eye for detail
• An ability to work to tight deadlines and with a degree of autonomy
