Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering voids, maintenance and refurbishment work to a large housing association covering the North West. With a mix of office (Oldham), site visits and home working, the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing a small portfolio of projects from procurement through to final accounts.

Some of the Quantity Surveyors main responsibilities will include:

• Controlling all project expenditure
• Assist the Contract Managers with pre-start programming
• Procurement of sub-contractors
• Manage and control sub-contractor accounts and variation accounts
• Change management
• Manage the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting
• Work closely with the site teams, providing commercial support and guidance as required
• Risk management
• Process sub-contractor requests for payment
• Measure sub-contractor progress, submit valuations, final accounts and retention of release and monitor receipts of payments

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a UK based main contractor. Experience working within responsive repairs, void refurbishments and planned maintenance works will be advantageous.
