Remuneration: £40,000 - £55,000 + profit share bonus

The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Tiling and Stonework will involve:

• Quantity surveyor position dealing with a range of floor and wall tiling projects within the residential, leisure, commercial, retail and industrial sectors
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including electronic taking off quantities
• Measuring and carrying out take-offs from drawings/ specifications, apply rates, calculate, and complete pricing schedules
• Keeping up to date with site progress through Operations Manager, Site / Project Managers, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
• Dealing with subcontract applications and negotiating subcontractor price
• Updating any changes to the agreed contract scope
• Keeping track of application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
• Building strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors

• Working on projects varying in size from £10k to £2m

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor - Tiling and Stonework with:

• Must have proven Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction market sector
• Ideally will have experience within the flooring, tiling or fitout market sector
• Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Strong numerical skills and negotiation skills
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail
• Presentable, humble, enthusiastic & self-motivated
