Location : St Albans
Salary 50k - 60k
Hiring Immediately - Permanent
Duties and responsibilities;
The ideal candidate for this Quantity Surveyor role will make sure their projects progress efficiently, affordable and safely by assisting in Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process and preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). The primary duties include:
- Meeting clients to determine their needs and discuss any areas that need revising for price or feasibility
- Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project time frame
- Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
- Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
- Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
- Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
- Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients
Previous Experience;
- Quantity Surveyor Experience
- Experience in multiple sectors Education, Health, Rail ect..
Candidate Requirements;
- A degree in quantity surveying accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent
- be able to commute or be willing to relocate.
