Quantity Surveyor - Highways

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our Civils and Construction contractor to be based near Devon. The role comes with a salary up to £46,000.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
  • Responsible for all Commercial aspects of projects.
  • Provide support to the tendering process.
  • Liaise with clients, senior staff and PQS (Principal Quality Surveyor)
  • Manage, support, and provide development to the Commercial Team.
  • Anticipate changes with the project.
  • Prepare the project procurement schedule.
  • Ensure materials are delivered and ready on site.
  • Work with the supply chain team to ensure cost and quality are maintained.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports.
  • Planning and management of own work and the Commercial Team.
  • Identify, manage, reduce, and drive out unnecessary costs.
  • Make sure projects budgets and deadlines are met.
  • Prepare work packages.

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
  • Maintain a high level of Commercial and Technical knowledge.
  • Detailed knowledge of financial reporting
  • Highways/Civils background
  • Experience in budget management.
