We are recruiting for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join the project commercial team to help with a specific section of works on a major scheme at Portsmouth hospital.

The project is a new state of the art Emergency Department and associated wards and infrastructure upgrades up to approx £50 million.

The role is to assist the commercial team with the upgrade, overhaul and part replacement pf the main electrical services, ring-main and power grid on site. You will be working with an estimator, design manager and delivery team to establish programmes, feasibility, design and cost plans initially for the client before firming up packages with the supply chain, procurement works, placing orders and managing the costs and reporting on site. The scheme is on an NEC form of contract.

It is an immediate start for the right candidate and the role is inside IR35 and will be up to £450 a day on a PAYE Umbrella basis.
