My client is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join their expanding business—a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate. They operate nationally and handle projects of varying scales, from small-scale renovations to large-scale commercial developments. They focus on commercial shopfitting, commercial groundworks, commercial decorating and terrazzo flooring

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling project inquiries, ensuring thorough understanding of client needs.
  • Generating detailed quotations for clients.
  • Interpreting construction blueprints and specifications.
  • Completing tender documentation.
  • Conducting precise onsite measurements.
  • Developing internal pricing structures.
  • Monitoring and analyzing project expenses.
  • Effectively communicating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Undertaking nationwide site visits as necessary.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years' estimating experience in construction.
  • Proficiency in procurement and negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam for measurements is advantageous.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
  • Proficient in modern IT systems, with willingness to adapt to company procedures.
  • Organized, responsible, and excellent communication skills.
  • Possession of a valid UK driver's license.

This role is based in Earlswood, Solihull, with office hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The salary/package starts at £60,000 with a 6-month probation period, offering 20 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays and a pension plan.
