JOB- Quality / Manufacturing Engineer

LOCATION- Plymouth

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000 - £50,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis in the Plymouth area with experience in the Manufacturing Industry. Your main duty will be to carry out Process Improvement projects as well as deal with day to day Manufacturing Quality issues within the various processes. This could also be suited for a senior Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer or Continuous Improvement Specialist.

The Quality / Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR Qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience as a Manufacturing, Industrial, Process, Quality Engineer or similar title.
  • Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within an ISO9001 regulated business.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, FMEA’s or other similar tools.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Six Sigma qualification – beneficial but not needed.
 The Quality / Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

  • Carrying out analysis of manufacturing processes to analyse opportunities of improvements.
  • Gather information throughout shop floor to analyse trends.
  • Liaise with other members of the business to improve functionality.
  • Assist with the auditing processes.
  • Support NPI Projects.
