Science Solutions are looking to recruit a Quality Manager for one of our clients based in the Leicestershire area.

To be considered for the role of Quality Manager you must have significant first hand working knowledge of TS16949 quality standards. EN9100 would also be applicable to the role but not essential.

You must also be capable of leading problem solving activities and improvement techniques such as 5 Phase, 8D and Six Sigma. Any Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.

If you are a Quality Engineer/Senior Quality Engineer and you’re looking to make the step up into management then this could be the role for you.

Role requirements:

  • Bachelors educated in a relevant field e.g; Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a similar field.
  • Previous experience in automotive or aerospace quality management. Ideally 5 years.
  • Previous working knowledge of ISO9001 & TS16949 quality standardS, EN9100 could also be applicable to the role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma problem solving techniques or similar, Six Sigma belt certification highly desirable.
  • Any previous experience of working with composite materials for Aerospace or Automotive applications is highly desirable.

Role responsibilities:

  • Actively improve and maintain ISO9001 & TS16949 quality management systems.
  • Lead problem solving activities including 5 Phase, 8D, or Ishikawa and improvement techniques such as Six Sigma.
  • Implement quality planning techniques such as FMEA and PCP in order to resolve major issues.
  • Lead the company towards TS16949 and EN9100 certifications and accreditations.
  • Liaise with customers on a daily basis to understand and implement materials and system requirements.
