Are you an experienced Quality Manager looking for a new role?

I am working on behalf of a long standing client recruiting for a Quality Manager to be based at their Skelmesdale site.

To be successful in this role you will be a dynamic, passionate and enthusiastic Quality Assurance (QA) Manager who champions food quality and safety, ensuring both customer specifications and legislative requirements are consistently met and managed.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will lead, support and develop the QA team covering a round the clock manufacturing process.

About you:

  • Excellent communication, leadership and motivational skills
  • Qualified in a food related discipline with the energy
  • Drive and tenacity to handle multiple projects and influence change.

Experience with customers, preferably brand and retail, and knowledge of high risk manufacturing are highly desirable. You should have professional qualifications to support your experience and a thorough understanding of Quality Management Systems including ISO and BRC.

You will be degree qualified in a food science (or equivalent) discipline with quality / technical management experience within food a manufacturing environment, a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of quality as well as legislative issues. Additionally possess advanced Food Hygiene Certificate and an Internal Auditors qualification.
