Location:Basildon, Essex

Salary: Competitive

07.00 -16.15 Monday - Thursday, 12.00 finish on Friday

Lots of overtime available, paid @ x1.5hrs

20 days holiday plus bank holidays

A specialist subcontractor in the manufacture of highly precision machined components producing one-off prototypes or full batch production parts for various industry sectors including automotive, medical, defence and aerospace.

Job Profile

As the successful Quality Inspector, you will be working alongside a small and friendly team of machinists ensuring quality standards are upheld by doing first off inspections, patrol inspections and final inspections working to AS9100 standards

Quality InspectorDuties

Quality inspection from 1st off, patrol to final assembly

Measuring components using manual measuring equipment

CMM programming and inspection

Visual inspections

FAIRs reporting depending on client

Maintaining high quality clean working environment

Drive health safety processes through the business

Working to various quality standards including ISO9001 & AS9100 Skills and Experience

Previous experience in quality inspection in an engineering environment

CMM experience

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Previous experience in a subcontract environment would be ideal

Strong Problem-solving skills Hours & Benefits 40hrs per week
