This International company are seeking a quality focused, detail orientated individual to play a pivotal role in ensuring delivery of first class products, previous experience in QA would be advantageous however full training will be provided.

Carrying out in-process and final inspection and test of manufactured product and its associated documentation to ensure conformity to customer requirements in conjunction with International Quality Management System

Primary Responsibilities

  • Carry out in-process inspection activity (crimping; soldering; torque tightening; first off Inspection etc.)
  • Carry out tooling checks of crimp tools and settings in the absence of a Team Leader
  • Carry out final inspection of manufactured product to drawing, customer specification and/or internal procedures, including dimensional & documentation checks.
  • Carry out electrical testing of manufactured product to drawing, customer specification and/or internal procedures, using ATE, multimeter, megger or other test equipment as required.
  • Complete Final Inspection & Test Record sheet
  • Complete Test Results sheets as required
  • First Article Inspection.
  • Carry out First Article Inspection.

o Complete First Article Inspection Report (FAIR).

o Carry out Goods Receiving inspection of supplied product.

  • Book work through on ERP system
  • Record results of in-process and final inspections on the relevant statistical spreadsheets
  • Control of Calibration of Inspection and Test Equipment/test equipment verification.
  • Ensuring adequate test leads/mating halves are available and controlled.
  • Programming of Automatic Test Equipment
  • Procurement of all necessary hardware in support of Test and Inspection equipment.
  • Assist in disseminating technical details in support of contract review.
  • Any other tasks as instructed by a Director or Senior Manager.

Skills/Experience

Background in an electro/mechanical manufacturing environment ideal but not essential as long as you are Willing to undertake specific training to support the duties and responsibilities detailed below.

  • Ability to read and understand a variety technical data including General Assembly drawings, wiring schedules, technical specifications and procedures - training available.
  • Experience in the use of a variety of electrical test equipment essential (including Digital Volt Meter, Insulation tester, Low Ohm meter, High Voltage tester, power supplies etc.) - training available.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of inspection and test essential.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Capable of working with minimum supervision.
  • Self motivating with a flexible work ethic.
  • Strong Electrical testing and ATE skills
  • Strong ATE programming skills
  • Familiar with auditing procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality and or Aerospace Standards ( ISO 9000, AS9100)
  • Able to read, understand and interpret engineering information
  • Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written
  • Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • IT literate - Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

Hours 7.00 am - 3.00 pm Monday - Friday.
