Adept Resourcing Group is proud to be working alongside a one of the country’s most successful steel and engineering businesses as they search for a Quality Engineer to join their Sheffield based team.

The group prides itself on its recent expansion and diversification efforts, due to this they are eager to ensure their quality department is efficiently resourced to cope with their recent expansion and wider portfolio.

As a result, they are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Sheffield based HQ full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm, who is looking for a role with interaction across multiple sites located across Sheffield.

The right Quality Engineer will report directly to the Group Quality manager and will be exited to take on a role with a magnitude of variety in their working day and wider quality activities that are unified throughout the Group, whilst having their own portfolio of Group companies to oversee.

Quality Engineer Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Group Quality Manager to maintain our range of QMS approvals, providing support when adopting further approvals.
  • Maintenance of Supplier Approval(s).
  • Engage & drive improvement initiatives.
  • Working alongside the wider company Quality and Technical departments to undertake problem solving activities/events using 8D/5W techniques.
  • Development of standard operating procedures/working instructions.
  • Undertaking of audits, both internal and external.

The successful Quality Engineer will have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO9001:2015 Management System Standards. Aerospace Management System and / or Nadcap experience will be beneficial but not vital.
  • Experience working within a steel / engineering environment.
  • Experience of undertaking audits to the above standard(s).
  • Experience of undertaking problem solving activities using techniques including 5 why, Ishikawa and 8D.

Qualifications:

  • GCSE’s or 'A’ Level Qualification/s including English, Mathematics and Science.
  • NVQ/Certificate/Diploma in Quality Management or similar (Preferred).
  • Auditing qualifications (Preferred).

Key Skills.

  • Excellent spoken and written communication.
  • Skilled using a computer and be familiar using Microsoft Word and Excel packages.
  • Ability to build relationships and liaise with people at all levels of the business.
  • Flexible attitude with multi-tasking skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.

Salary:

  • £30,000 to £40,000 per Annum
  • On-Site Parking

  • Financial support toward further qualification associated with the development of your career.
  • Will be based on experience and is open to discussion
