The Job You’ll Do;

  • Define quality requirements for internal and externally manufactured items.
  • In cooperation with design & manufacturing departments, design and implement effective inspection procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration system in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Management of non-conforming material through quality management system procedures.
  • Ensure timely generation of monthly quality/non-quality data and reports.
  • Assist with the development of Quality control systems in accordance with company procedures and the requirements of accreditation bodies.
  • Participate in the investigation of customer complaints.
  • Manage and raise requests relating to products through the complaint database.
  • Management and documentation of standard work as directed.
  • Produce certificates of conformity and other related customer documentation when required.
  • Participate in Change Note meetings.
  • Provide training and support on quality topics to supervision and operatives as required.
  • Undertake specific projects as allocated by the department manager.
  • Perform any other duties within your capabilities as requested from time to time by management.
  • Monitor key suppliers and take a proactive approach to supplier non-conformance.
  • Undertake supplier audits as team member and quality department representative.
  • Undertake internal ISO9001 quality audits.
  • Abide by the Core Values and Code of Ethics and strive to meet and exceed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.

About You;

  • Possess and be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality control systems.
  • Possess an understanding of processes involved in sheet metal fabrication and galvanisation processes (desired).
  • Possess good analytical skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work well under pressure.
  • Be able to work effectively within multifunctional teams and individually.
  • Be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional training.
  • Be prepared to work at alternative sites including travel to supplier’s premises when required.
