Butler Rose are seeking a Quality Engineer to join one of our clients, a Plymouth based manufacturer. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, data driven, extremely flexible and tenacious, training will be provided to the right candidate. This role is ideal for an existing Production, Process, Metrology or Quality Engineer, or for an existing Technician level person to progress into a more senior position within a progressive, high technology organisation.

Essential attributes:

The following attributes are essential for the role as Quality engineer:

  • Some form of Engineering and/or Manufacturing/Production experience
  • Working knowledge of dimensional metrology instruments and equipment
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering/Design drawings
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy and materials
  • Reasonable Mathematics and English
Preferred Attributes

The following attributes are preferred but not mandatory:

  • Minimum 5 years working within a Quality background
  • Recognised qualification in Metrology / Quality / Mechanical Engineering or A recognised qualification to a minimum level of 4 or 5 (HNC or HND)
  • Core Tools trained /experience (PPAP/APQP)
  • Internal Audit Qualification (or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of metallurgy and materials testing, standards relevant to metrology & calibration and conducting & hosting audits

SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000
