Quality Assurance Officer

Conduct Quality Assurance Audits within our Underwriting Services Department to monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines and licence authorities.

Conduct Quality Assurance Audits within other departments to assess service quality and adherence to internal processes.

Analyse the compliance standards being achieved by conducting Quality Assurance Audits and provide ongoing assurance of adherence to regulatory requirements.

Proactively identify areas for improvement where required and work with the business to implement remedial actions.

Job Requirements:

  • Background working in an insurance environment, preferably for an MGA or Broker dealing with delegated underwriting authorities
  • Demonstratable experience working in a compliance or conduct role
  • Good knowledge of FCA Rules and Regulations
  • A proactive ‘can do’ and flexible attitude. Be able to recognise priorities a short notice
  • An excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
  • Self-Motivated and good organisational skills. Able to manage own workload and deliver against deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and confidentially
  • Experienced in the use of all Microsoft Office applications to an intermediate level
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to build successful relationships with all stakeholders
  • Champions the compliance culture and acts as a role model
  • Takes responsibility for own development
  • Good judgement and listening skills
  • Ability to innovate and improve working processes
