Qualified Social Worker - Looked After Children

Caritas Recruitment is working exclusively with Brent Council. Together we are looking for Social Workers to make a difference to the lives of Looked After Children.

Salary

Social Worker £41,808 rising to £45,021 with annual increments

Senior Social Worker £45,021 rising to £48,060 with annual increments

Plus golden hello payment of £5,000 (payable after 6 months) and an annual retention payment of £4,500 (subject to eligibility criteria)

The role

We are looking for qualified social workers, with at least 2-year post qualification experience, in Children's social care to join Brent's Looked After Children's Service. Successful candidates will be part of a service that is responsible for the council's Corporate Parenting responsibilities. You will support Brent's vision of improving outcomes for their young people by creating genuine partnerships with children, young people, parents, and carers. You will work in partnership with families and other agencies to provide effective and coordinated childcare services. At Brent, the voice of the child is always heard, and the views of their young people are at the heart of all case planning. You will be part of an established service that practices in a trauma-informed way. You will be provided with regular monthly supervision, annual appraisals, and excellent training opportunities to help you grow your career and reach your full potential.

About you

You must be a Qualified Social Worker in Children's or Adult Social Care, registered with Social Work England with excellent communication skills, and passionate about working with children, young people, and their families.
