We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Children with Disability Team in the Wigan area.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working to keep disabled children and their siblings in need of help and protection or in public care safe.
  • You will be working directly with the child or young person and their family carer
  • Managing a complex caseload
  • You will be working across referral & assessment, children in need, child protection
  • Direct Payments


To be considered for the Social Worker role, ideally you will have:

  • 1-3 years experience of working within a similar social work setting
  • Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Evidence of working with a similar complex caseload
