Child Protection Social Worker

Southend-On-Sea

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker in the Child Protection team withinSouthend-on-sea. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:

  • Working with other professionals to identify children at risk
  • Speaking with children, families, and carers to assess their needs
  • Investigating reported concerns and allegations
  • Advising on child protection issues
  • Promoting children's rights, safety, and wellbeing
  • Writing care plans and arranging support
  • Making referrals to partner agencies
  • Recording case details and writing reports
  • Giving evidence in court and attending training courses

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DPSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
