Qualified Social Worker - Adults Care & Support Team

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker for the Adults Care & Support Team within the Social Care industry in Cornwall. The Qualified Social Worker in Adults Care & Support Team vacancy in Cornwall will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Experience of working in an Adult Social Care setting
  • Experience of undertaking needs assessments, mental capacity assessments and support planning
  • Good record keeping
  • A good understanding of the current issues and themes related to social work with vulnerable adults
  • An accurate understanding of the role, function and accountabilities of a local authority duties defined in the Care Act and associated legislation Knowledge of the policy and legislative framework governing adult social care especially mental capacity assessments and deprivation of liberty best interest decisions as well as risk management and safeguarding.
  • Experience of working constructively in a multi-agency environment in order to provide Adults' Services.

Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as a Qualified Social Worker in the Adults Social Care Sector
  • Duty Working

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 year experience within UK
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • SWE Registered
  • Degree in Social Work
