Join our dedicated team at Medway Council as a Senior Practitioner - Permanency Lead in our Corporate Parenting section!

This role involves embedding consistent and positive practice for children requiring permanency solutions. It's a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Are you passionate about securing good outcomes for children? We're looking for someone to drive good practice and quality assurance in permanency planning, ensuring timely and effective solutions for children in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop systems and strategies to monitor and track permanency, driving progress in care plans.
  • Demonstrate expert practice in permanency work, fostering knowledge and skill development within the organization.
  • Provide coaching, training, mentoring, and support to social workers to enable effective permanency planning.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, evidence-based practice, policy, legislation, and case law related to permanency.
  • Advocate for diversity and equality in service delivery and people management.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registered social worker with a professional social work qualification.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in children and families social work.
