QA and Compliance Executive

My client is an established and growing global organisation that works within the electronics distribution sector working with clients within the Defence, Aerospace, Automotive and Medical sectors. Employing nearly 200 people worldwide and with a turnover of £200million, this is truly an exciting time to be part of this dynamic company.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To support the business in all aspects of quality assurance - to ensure the business complies with International Standards, customer requirements and expectations in an effective and positive manner.
  • Part of inspection report verification team
  • Manage the company’s adherence to regulatory compliance in respect of Rohs/Reach/Conflict minerals etc
  • Act as primary contact for company T&C’s, BCP
  • Act as company quality representative / point of contact on major company projects - Help solve day to day issues, manage supplier quality issues. Attend customer/supplier meetings.
  • Act as company quality representative on customer visits and audits
  • Act as company quality representative on supplier visits
  • Support customer corrective actions
  • Support supplier corrective actions
  • Support and carry out internal and external audits
  • Support control of company Approved Suppliers List
  • Ensure company quality documents are controlled and updated in line with International Standards and customer requirements
  • Provide appropriate internal/external training on company quality procedures and processes
  • Facilitate and provide input to company quality improvement activities
  • Support (provide cover) the company RMA/RTV process

Qualifications, Key Competencies and Experience

  • You must have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other core applications.
  • You must hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of/ history of working within an ISO/AS environment

Essential:

  • Experience of administration tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Knowledge/Awareness of ISO9001 quality management standards (either direct or indirect role)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities
  • Willingness to travel

Desirable:

  • ISO/AS internal audit training
  • Knowledge of Electronic or Mechanical Products
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint

Hours of work 8.30 - 5pm
