MET Recruitment is representing a leading company in search of a Purchasing Co-Ordinator to join their team. This role offers the chance to streamline procurement processes and contribute to the company's success in acquiring goods and services efficiently.

What’s in it for you?

  • Mon – Thu: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm | Fri: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate agreements, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate and oversee purchase orders with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Source new suppliers, conduct market research, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyse purchasing activities to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of supply management experience, preferably CIPS qualified.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Adaptability to evolving industry dynamics.
