Location: Sawtry
Job Type: Full time, permanent (Mon-Fri 37.5 hours, 9:00am 5:30pm)
Salary: £27,500
Working as part of the Purchasing team, you will assist in optimising stock availability for our products, maximising customer service and ensuring the right products are ordered at the right time.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain Stocking Profiles on MRP system
- Order products from approved suppliers to maintain stock levels
- Negotiation of price discounts
- Supplier relationship and performance management.
- Expedite or delay shipments as prompted by changes in requirements
- Maintain records on MRP system in-line with materials order planning
- Communication to the sales team regarding product status
- Manage day to day supplier queries
- Resolve Supplier Non-Compliance Issues reported via goods-in dept
- Reporting Availability KPIs
- Working with the import team to manage international orders
Key Skills Required:
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written. You must be confident in speaking on the telephone and on Teams/Skype.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and under own initiative
- Experience working in a commercial environment
- Experience using supply chain planning aspects of MRP systems
- Organized and able to multi-task to achieve results
- Effective communication managing supplier relationships
- Analytical skills capable of interpreting data and financial impact
- Solid experience with Microsoft Excel
