Purchase Ledger Clerk Role Overview

NC Associates are working with an impressive and well established, ecommerce business who due to continued growth now need to grow their Finance Team. As a result, I am recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join this people focussed employer. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting a varied workload. Study support and career development is available.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

  • High volume processing of stock and utilities invoices (matching of invoices to relevant nominal codes and entering to the finance system)  
  • Management of accruals and prepayment cycles.
  • Preparing and approving the weekly supplier BACS payment runs
  • Organising and approving same day payments as required.
  • Management and resolution of all supplier queries.
  • Support with supplier cost analysis – finding more cost-effective solutions where possible.
  • Sending of copy invoices as required
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Sending of supplier statements as required.
  • Any additional finance tasks or project work as required.

Purchase Ledger Experience Required

  • Previous experience of working in an account’s environment with exposure to end-to-end Purchase Ledger processes
  • Previous experience of Purchase ledger processes.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of financial data accurately.
  • Excellent IT skills with an intermediate Microsoft Excel ability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive outlook and team focussed attitude and approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage queries in a professional manner.
  • High levels of data accuracy and attention to detail
  • The desire to learn new skills and to develop within a Purchase Ledger career path.
