Matching Staff Solutions are working alongside our established client to find a Public & Green Spaces Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to support the operators undertaking cleansing and grounds maintenance services to keep the city looking representable.

Monday to Friday 07:00am - 15:00pm with occasional unsociable hours subject to demands.

The Role

Your main duties will include:

  • To understand and organise what resources - staff, plant, materials and equipment - are required to meet demand and when the job is required.
  • Supervise and support operators actively in the streets, parks and open spaces to meet the demand for cleansing, and grounds maintenance services.
  • Respond to requests for resources from operators, and external sources to ensure efficient operations.
  • Advise and assist people and businesses in keeping their local area looking good, acting as an ambassador for the city.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to drive with possession of a UK full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Experience of cleansing, horticultural or grounds maintenance services.
  • Able to work as part of a team and undertake the full range of duties.
  • Experience of field staff supervision.
  • Experience of problem solving in a high pressured frontline service environment.
