Job Title: Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are working with numerous SEND schools across the district of North Birmingham, and are searching for Psychology Graduates to join these lovely and dedicated school teams as a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant supporting SEND pupils from 4- 25 years of age.
This is a fabulous opportunity for striving Educational and Clinical Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists who would like to build on their comprehension of SEND needs, whilst aiding children and young people with SEND to adapt to their situation and surroundings.
The main role of a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant within a SEND school is to:
- Observe, report and assess behaviour of the student's in your care
- Collaborating with professionals such as Speech and Language therapists, Education/Clinical Psychologists, Nurses etc.
- Keep informed regarding the ever changing strategies used to aid learners with SEND needs
- To be flexible to adapt to the needs of the school and individual studnets

Requirements for the role of Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant:
- DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply.
- A bachelors degree in Psychology
- Empathy, patience and adaptability
- Ability to work as part of a team
