Fire and Flood Technician

Our Company are a leading Fire and Flood restoration Company. We are based in Nelson, Lancashire and cover a large area of the Country from Cumbria/North East down to the Midlands.

We are looking for a fire and flood technician to join our expanding team. Previous experience of fire and water damage restoration would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

About the Role

• Attend fire damaged properties to carry out restoration works such as listing and disposal of affected contents, removal of carbon deposits to structure of property, cleaning to contents including specialist carpet and upholstery cleaning
• Attend Flood damaged properties to carry out damage limitation work such as extracting standing water and installing drying equipment
• Draw up and monitoring drying programmes
• Careful packing of contents to be removed for storage
• Notifiable non licenced asbestos removal (full specialised training with Asbestos Removal Contractors Association 'ARCA’ included)

Essential Skills and Experience

• Full clean driving licence
• Flexible to work away with maximum one night per week overnight stay (allowance paid)
• Flexible to attend weekend call outs if required (rare, typically once every few months)
• Respect of our customers while working in their homes or business
• Good communication skills and basic Maths and English Language
• Knowledge of fire and flood damage restoration works would be advantageous but is not essential

Salary

• Salary starts at £22,308 per annum
• £15 allowance for overnight stay
• All accommodation paid for ( this will be rare to stay away )

Hours of Work : Monday - Friday 8am until 4.30pm (these are on site hours, travelling time to be taken into account so may be required to set off early)
