Property & Casualty Underwriter

A wonderful opportunity for career progression. Our client is part of one of the largest insurance underwriting groups in the world. In this role you will underwrite a broad spectrum of UK based property & casualty risks for non-UK domiciled companies. Working with broker partners you will be underwriting risks with a range of premiums from £10,000 up to complex, multi-line corporate programs with a £1M + premium.

You will be exposed to a mix of different trades including manufacturing, power, distribution and retail.

In addition to underwriting, the successful candidate will act as a technical focal point for other less experienced underwriters and underwriting assistants together with working closely with the Class Underwriter and senior management team on projects.

What you need to show

• Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced, technical strong property & casualty underwriter.
• Exposure to underwriting larger and more complex insurance programs is preferred.
• Ability to build strong relationships with brokers is a requirement.
• Willingness to be decisive, make decisions and accept accountability.
• Act is an approachable and supportive manner.
