About the job

Our client, a privately owned company with over two decades of experience in the industrial & commercial Refrigeration and HVAC industries, is calling for a talented Project Manager to join their team.

As Project Manager, you'll take charge of site-based activities across the UK, overseeing skilled engineering teams and subcontractors working on a diverse range of refrigeration engineered solutions.

You'll be…

• Leading the entire project process from start to finish, including managing external items, ensuring they're delivered on time and within budget to key commercial clients in various industries including food, healthcare, and manufacturing.
• Taking ownership of the overall profitable execution of projects. This involves understanding finances, legal requirements, technology, and managing people.
• Acting as the main contractor, overseeing materials' selection, ordering, storage, and logistics.
• Focused on safety by ensuring projects are handed over safely whilst taking responsibility for Health and Safety reporting.
• Attending project meetings, monitor project progress, and ensure engineers' contracts and standards are met.
• Developing relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors that align with the company's ethical standards and laws.
• Preparing and communicating clear performance expectations, evaluate the performance of labour (both direct and subcontracted), and create development plans with internal and external parties.

You'll need…

• Project Management experience in the refrigeration engineering industry.
• Proficiency in HVAC/Refrigeration systems for both industrial and commercial settings.
• Experience in contract management and understanding of CDM Regulations for on-site Health & Safety.
• The ability to interpret P&ID drawings, influence stakeholders, and be on the path towards a Project Management qualification.
• Knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Laws (PSSR) and BS EN378.
• Full UK driving licence.
