Project Manager – Heanor – £50,000 - £55,000

We delighted to be supporting a well-established, innovative organisation based in Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Project Manager. In this role working as part of the Project team to manage, execute and deliver projects to support the business’s needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with several year experience in a similar role. This organisation offers an exciting and rewarding career that operates in international markets.

Project Manager responsibilities:
  • Working with Sales to support Project activities on tenders and quotes
  • Carrying out the processes of the project "life" from initial hand over to close out
  • All aspects of project performance
  • Understanding and setting out the project deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding and setting up project budgets, feeding into ERP system, invoice control and cash flow reporting
  • Maintaining accurate project reports and robust margin control
  • Ensuring invoices are submitted timely and with the appropriate documentation
  • Working with the business to ensure that correct resources and suppliers are "On-board" to ensure "Right first time" delivery
  • Commercial understanding and execution of projects to the best advantage of the business
  • Risk management - understanding, control and mitigation of project risk
  • Generation of accurate project plans, that ensure alignment with project scope, customer deliverables and business capacity
  • Understanding of project deliverables and business processes to ensure delivery of projects
  • Mentoring and delegating as necessary to achieve the project
Key requirements and preferences:
  • Very good communication and organisation skills, ability to confidently present and negotiate with customers and internal stakeholders
  • HNC qualified or equivalent
  • Several years’ experience in Project Management
  • Be technically and numerically competent, with an analytical approach.
  • Commercial knowledge
  • An understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project or Asta project planning software
  • Full UK Driving Licence
