The Opportunity:
Having won a new on-going contract (minimum 5 years with huge potential for further extensions) we are now in the next phase of growth and development.
You will be in the position to oversee end-to-end processes of numerous projects and essentially spearhead budget control, forecasting, and program monitoring. Ultimately this division of the business will see you take responsibility for keeping all internal and external stakeholders expectations managed and in line with budgets.

The Role:
Through adherence to project management plans and leadership of multidisciplinary teams, this opportunity provides essential oversight of design production, including budgetary control, oversight of reports, drawings, and specifications. You’ll see projects through various stages such as investigation, bid, outline design, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
Further duties include:
  • Overseeing internal and external stakeholder management through vital business meetings and regular communication
  • Elevating project timelines with the precision of programming tools like Primavera and MS Project
  • Using business knowledge to reach innovative and cost-effective methods, proactively managing project schedules
  • Prioritising health and safety in design and construction
  • Exercising subcontractor supervision to ensure unwavering contract compliance
  • Vigilantly monitoring and reporting against project programs, providing real-time insights
  • Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities, taking a reflective approach to improve potential outcomes

Our Ideal Candidate:
With a wide range of vital responsibilities at hand, it’s vital that you are proactive, great at time management (goes without saying), detail orientated, and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone with a demonstrable background in effectively managing, growing, and motivating project delivery teams, specifically with expertise of water and wastewater projects, and extensive experience leading Civil Engineering projects.
Further to the above:
  • Currently possessing a HND, HNC and a Project Management Qualification (or be pursuing this)
  • Proficient in various contract types, including NEC, and well-versed in diverse procurement options
  • Proficient at report writing
  • Have a range of additional qualifications including; SMSTS, Water Hygiene, Level 2 Medium Risk Confined Spaces
  • Technically proficient; especially In Microsoft Office
